Are Muslim's funny? Is a question that has been brought up a number of times after a popularised stereotype being passed around that Muslims can't take a joke. How will we combat this stereotype? By inviting people into our communities? No, by letting people get to know us better as people and not as names and faces they see on the news? No, we here at Mzlim have decided to make a list. Not just any list but a list of the Top Muslim Stand-Up comedians.
5 - Baba Ali

Remember this guy, the one that used to make the Youtube videos which were kinda popular and shared by Muslims because they could sort of relate to what he was saying. We put him on the list.
4 - Maysoon Zayid

First of all, No, we did not include her because we needed a girl on the list and second of all, no, we didn't put her in the 4th spot instead of the 5th to cause less suspicion(sorry, Baba Ali).
Maysoon Zayid, is known as America's first Muslim Women Comedian, which also means she is the funniest, if there aren't any other Muslim women comedians, sorry, I haven't checked. She is also the first person ever to perform standup up in Palestine and Jordan
3 - Ahmed Ahmed

What's funnier than two first names? His stand up shows, apparently, I've heard, I mean, after I watched them...
He's actually got a decent sized Wikipedia page and it shows that he starred in a couple of movies and he doesn't play Terrorist #3 in all of them, so that's something.
2 - Allah Made Me Funny

A group of made up of three comedians, they get the number two spot because statistically three people have a higher chance of being funny than one.
The group consists of three members Bryant "Preacher" Moss, Azhar Usman, and Mohammed "Mo" Amer. They have toured in over 30 countries, have been featured in news reports as well as been on Television. Their comedy consists of mainly breaking down stereotypes people have of Muslims whilst keeping the humour clean and halal.
1 - Dave Chapelle

No brainer, funnier than everybody on the list, would most likely go first on most non-Muslim related comedy list as well.
He is best known for his work on the Dave Chapelle Show, which was abruptly cancelled after the comedian decided to stay away from the glitz and glamour of Television. He now sticks to stand up comedy and travels the world entertaining the masses.
