On Friday, June 22nd, the suspect of a simple assault allegedly yanked on a Muslim woman's hijab before fleeing, the police are requesting information in helping to find the culprit.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m in Farm Bar Grille in Manchester, New Hampshire. The 25-year-old victim, Riman Douedari, was seated with her coworkers. the suspect walked up behind the victim and pulled on her hijab, causing discomfort to her chin and head. the suspect then walked towards the bar but fled the restaurant after being confronted by the victim's co-workers.
Riman wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post 'I always thought I had a plan on how to act when I face such a situation, but when this happened I was shocked and suddenly froze up and didn't know what to do,'.
The suspect has been described as a Caucasian male, approximately 40-45 years old, possibly 5’06” with dark hair.
